Peter Kirk

British tenor Peter Kirk is acclaimed for his expressive musicality and engaging stage presence across both lyrical and character roles, as well as his affinity for modern music.

Peter Kirk’s recent engagements include his debut at Opera North as Lysander A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a role he also performed at Graz Opera, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, and the Royal Opera House Muscat. He also made his debut at Theater an der Wien as Bart and Ziegenkerl in Oliver Knussen's Wo die wilden Kerle wohnen, and returned to Opéra national du Rhin as Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte.
Upcoming engagements include Sir Bruno Roberton in I Puritani and Parpignol in La Bohème at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, as well as Oscar Martinů’s Twice Alexander and Sir George Weinberg’s Lady Magnesia at Theater an der Wien.
Peter Kirk’s career features performances at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Vienna Volksoper, Bergen National Opera, Opéra national du Rhin, Grafenegg Festival, Jubilee Hall Aldeburgh, Opera de Tours, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Latvian National Opera, Grange Festival, Hyogo Performing Arts Center, Nevill Holt Festival, Opera de Vichy, and Graz Opera.
