Paul Grilj
Paul Grilj studied at the University of Art in Graz and is a lighting designer, lighting master, operator, composer and musician.
From 2005 to 2015, he was a lighting designer and Head of Lights at the Schauspielhaus Graz, and from 2015 to 2022, he was Head of the Lighting/Video Department at the Vienna Volkstheater. He has been working freelance since 2022.
In addition to numerous projects at these two venues, Paul Grilj has also worked at the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Cleveland Theatre Hall, th Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, Bregenz Festival, Opera National de Lorraine, Schaubühne Berlin, Berliner Ensemble, Stuttgart State Theater, Graz Opera, Nuremberg State Theater, SWR Festival, Magdeburg Theater, St. Gallen Theater, Stuttgart State Opera, Theater an der Wien, Yauza Palace Moscow and others.
