Ariunbaatar Ganbaatar
Ariunbaatar Ganbaatar, born near Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), studied at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture. Between 2014 and 2018 he was a soloist at the Buryat National Opera in Ulan-Ude (Russia).
He is a guest soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg, where he has performed numerous roles, including Prince Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades), Baron Scarpia (Tosca), Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana), and the title roles in Nabucco, Macbeth, Rigoletto, and Simon Boccanegra. Further engagements have taken him to the Bolshoi Theatre, Cadogan Hall in London, and Carnegie Hall in New York. He has won the Golden Sofitel and is a recipient of the Order of Genghis Khan, his home country's highest award. He will make his debut at the Bavarian State Opera in 2025/26 as Sharpless (Madama Butterfly).
