Ran Arthur Braun
Ran Arthur Braun's professional achievements are highly estimated throughout Europe and Asia. He was awarded the “Estonian Theatre and Music Award” (as Best Director) 2011 and two Polish musical theatre awards (2014 for Best Stage Design, 2015 as Best Director). He collaborated on more than 180 productions at prestigious opera houses and festivals such as Royal Opera House London, Festival Aix-en-Provence, Croatian National Ballet, Komische Oper Berlin, Royal Danish Opera, Teatr Wielki Warszawa, Welsh National Opera, De Nederlandse Opera, Opéra National de Paris, Staatsoper Berlin and for 16 years at Bregenzer Festspielen.
His recent engagements include Les Troyens and Lady Macbeth of Mzensk (Opéra National de Paris), The Maid of Orleans and Egmont (Theater an der Wien), La Fanciulla del West (National Center for Performing Arts Beijing), The Love for Three Oranges (Opera Philadelphia, Teatro San Carlo), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Deutsche Oper Berlin, Montpellier Opera) and Nabucco (Palau de les Arts Valencia). He is a teacher for stage fighting at the Royal Opera House London, at the Centre de Perfeccionament Plácido Domingo in Valencia and at Amsterdam’s Opera Studio. He already collaborated with Thaddeus Strassberger in numerous productions.
